Awesome service! After visiting 2 shops who were overcharging and adding unnecessary items to my quote, I called a mechanic for my brakes that were urgently needed. He had me buy the parts because he was "on his way". He was a no show and I had already spent the money. I wished "Mobile Mechanics" were a thing so I didn't have to return them and go to a shop. I googled Moble Mechanics and found Instant Car Fix! Not only do they come to you but they give you the option of supplying the parts! It sounded to good to be true. I went through the process, got a quote, chose a timeframe and entered payment details (a hold is placed to ensure you have the funds before service is provided), booked the service and prayed they could get the work done before I had to get the kids from school. The mechanic arrived within the quoted window frame and already had my tires off by the time I came out to give him the parts/keys. It took about 30 minutes total! Instant Car communicated when the mechanic was on his way, arrived and needed me outside via text message. It was very convenient, affordable and quick. Damien (sp?) the mechanic was very professional and courteous. He even discussed other concerns I will need addressed soon. We recently lost our mechanic we have had for 15 years because he moved down south. The rates Instant Car charged were about the same as my prior mechanics :) This service was a life saver! I admit I was hesitant at first, but i needed new brake pads and didn't feel like driving to my mechanic out of worry of making them worse. But sure enough, someone came out (sorry I didn't get the name!), fixed the pads, gave some good advice, and no other fees..all in 45 minutes! I highly recommend this service, especially if you're in a time crunch.
I used Yelp Projects to get the ball rolling. They texted me at 1pm. Had a dude out in my driveway at 3pm. Swapped the differential oil in both diffs and hour later. Extremely nice technician. Will use them again!!
So my alternator died on my way home from work Saturday night. I set up an appointment with Instant Car Fix at 11pm. The mechanic showed up Sunday afternoon and repaired my truck with no issues. On time service and professionalism.
This service is very convenient and fairly priced, they won't rip you off like a dealership. I had a number of things replaced in the car that I thought was only possible at an auto shop but the mechanic was able to fix the car up on my driveway. The car was shaking, there was a loud noise and all of that is fixed now. Dealing with them is also a good experience as they are very responsive.
