An automobile's AC compressor is the main component in its air conditioning system. This device compresses and circulates refrigerant gas, allowing your car to stay cool during warm weather conditions. The compressor will generally be situated towards the front of your engine, where it is powered by a belt connected to the crankshaft pulley.
Engaging the car's AC starts an electromagnetic clutch inside the compressor, driving its internal pistons to start operating and compress the refrigerant gas. As this process continues, both temperature and pressure of the gas rises until it is pushed through refrigerant lines towards a condenser frequently situated in front of your radiator.
In the condenser, the scorching-hot refrigerant gas that had extracted heat from inside of a car's cabin is released. This causes it to transition into its liquid form. Afterwards, this liquified substance proceeds towards an expansion valve or orifice tube whereupon it can spread out and cool off completely.
The cooled refrigerant is then directed to the evaporator, located within the car's interior. This absorbs heat from inside the cabin, cooling down both temperature and humidity levels. Following this step, the now warmed gas is funneled back to the compressor for another cycle of cooling air in your vehicle.

Amazing service. I work on my own car but had a cv axel stuck and was done trying to pry it out. I called them and paid ahead of time for service to be done the next day. The mechanic calls and shows up an hour later, which was even better. You can tell he had a lot of experience and tools because he got the axel out in 30 minutes, while it took me 6 hours and a lot of cuss words and got no where. Pricing was average if not cheaper . I feel like VA car and tire would have charged me double and I would have had to drop it off. Great experience, I will use them again if needed.
This is my first time using Instant Car Fix and I had great experience. Lower radiator hose on my Honda pilot gave up and I lost all the coolant. I scheduled an appointment the same day and Mike and his co-worker came around 6pm. They both worked hard and completed the job successfully and that too during a very cold and windy evening. I am satisfied at the professionalism and quality of work. I will definitely use their service again.
The mechanic James was extremely helpful in diagnosing and explaining the problems and how it would be fixed. He made sure to get the proper part we needed and was able to get it fixed quickly. He ran the engine to insure it was fully fixed and that there were no additional problems.

Awesome service. Very prompt & great communication! I am in Anchorage, AK! Got an oil change and white smoke was coming out of the tailpipe. They were able to send someone out for a diagnostic the next morning! It cost me $175, I appreciate the mobile service as I did not want to drive my car and potentially have it breakdown on me. No serious issues but I appreciate how accessible, reliable, & honest our mechanic was!
