My Honda Accord had a battery alarm, and I was looking for a good technician to fix it. A friend of mine referred me to Instant Car Fix and said they are very good and hassle-free. So, I called Instant Car Fix, and they responded immediately and scheduled for diagnosis within few hours. The technician was knowledgeable and had experience with servicing cars. He told me that the alternator was the issue and needs replacement. I went online and booked an appointment to replace the alternator and belt. When I compared the price, the instant car fix price was highly reasonable, and moreover, I liked the professionalism of the technician. The technician arrived on time with replacement parts of good quality and irrespective of that day being a scorching hot summer day, the technician patiently replaced the faulty alternator and fixed my car. He also tested for any other issues. Overall, I am very much pleased and happy with the service and would highly recommend Instant Car Fix for any car related services.
Saved My Day with an Alternator Replacement. I was stranded in a parking lot with a failing alternator. This mechanic came to my rescue and replaced it right there! They explained the process, used high-quality parts, and charged a fair price. Highly recommended!
The shocks on my F350 dualy needed replaced. The mechanic came to my place and completed the work. He was on time and very courteous and professional. The work was performed on time in a professional manner and I am extremely satisfied with the results. Would highly recommend them.
Awesome service. Very prompt & great communication! I am in Anchorage, AK! Got an oil change and white smoke was coming out of the tailpipe. They were able to send someone out for a diagnostic the next morning! It cost me $175, I appreciate the mobile service as I did not want to drive my car and potentially have it breakdown on me. No serious issues but I appreciate how accessible, reliable, & honest our mechanic was!
Short version: I liked my experience, and would use this service again. But I think this service might be expensive compared to other options due to how it does things, so if that's important to you, maybe look elsewhere. Long version: I had an issue with one of the car battery terminals that bricked my car. (The bit crimped on to the wire sheared off the terminal somehow = battery was completely disconnected from the wire). I didn't want to pay to tow it since it seemed like a simple-ish fix, but also didn't want to do the work myself because Not My Thing. (Believe me). Enter the idea of mobile mechanics. I had a question about what action/category to select when setting up an appointment, so I called the contact/support number from the website. Got connected in a few seconds, spoke with someone, and they had me send a picture via email. I waited a bit, and then I called back. They then verified which thing I should select when setting up the appointment. Fast forward to the next day (doesn't seem like same-day was an option, but next-day was good enough for me), and I got an automated text a bit before the mechanic showed up, and then also when he arrived. When the mechanic came, we talked for a bit, and he did the thing. In chatting with him, I learned a bit more about how the platform works. Seems like mechanics in an area can use the app to pick up work, kind of like Uber drivers can take rides, I guess (?). Or something like that. So it scales. At any rate, he did the work, we took before/after pictures, made sure everything was good (turned on the car), and then that was that. After he submitted the work package thing on the platform's mechanic app and drove off, I got a phone call from the office people within like 2 minutes asking how things went and if I had any feedback/concerns. I was impressed with the automated systems for booking, updating you when the mechanic is about to arrive/has arrived, and submitting evidence of the completion of the work via the platform's mechanic app (e.g., the before/after photos show up on the automated receipt). I like that this is a well-designed platform, not just a one-man show sort of thing. It led to a very convenient user experience. It made my software-developer brain happy. The customer service was also good (like the call to confirm things went well, and them helping me with my initial question). I didn't get routed around phone menus or have to sit on hold. Only downside is the price. It seems to be fixed (rather than depending on what parts the mechanic actually buys/how long things actually take). So there was a parts charge and a labor charge, and those were fixed/static. Pros: you know how much it will cost upfront. That's pretty useful. Cons: for my particular situation, this was probably like $70 more expensive than it needed to be, because of the inflexibility of this setup. So you might end up overcharged for things. Google-fu told me the specific thing I was paying for was probably $10 for parts and 20 minutes of labor or so. I still paid more than $150 for it. (But hey, I didn't have to do it myself, so no chance of me messing it up. Which was sort of the whole point). Even so, I'd probably still use this service again. I just think this is probably not the cheapest option, if that is something important to you.
Greg Mechanic showed up on time got straight to work. He did the job and did it well he double checked his work and walked me through what he did and explained everything very well. He’s a great mechanic very nice and respectful to me and my truck. He got the job done in a good timely manner. Easy to talk to all around great guy. I would definitely call on him again if i ever need another mechanic. Everything seems to be working great even got my cleaning exhaust filter working somehow and It’s the first time i have seen that notification show up and I have had the truck for about a year. He even gave me a few tips on how to keep my injectors clean of soot and how to keep them spraying evenly. Thank you man. GREAT WORK!!!
My mechanic showed up within the reported arrival window and changed my brakes and rotors in less than an hour. My rate was more than fair and I couldn't be more pleased with his work. This was super convenient as he came right to my address and I didn't have to worry about anything. Setting up an appointment was a breeze, communication was top notch, and I will most certainly use this company again!
Great service. They come right to your home and fix your car. It saved me money than having to have it towed to the shop. Very professional and keep me updated the whole way. Thank you for the great service. Highly recommend.
This service really exceeded my expectations. The mechanic arrived on time and took the time to inspect the issue properly. He explained everything in a clear and calm way. The repair was done with care and tested before completion. I liked that I didn’t have to rearrange my day or sit in a waiting room. Very convenient and well done.
