Instant Car Fix saved me big time. I had a coolant issue, and the temperature gauge was rising dangerously. I was worried about the cost and hassle of getting it towed to a shop, but Instant Car Fix made it so simple. The mechanic arrived on time, explained everything clearly, and fixed it for a fraction of what the dealership quoted me. I’ll definitely use them again!

Short version: I liked my experience, and would use this service again. But I think this service might be expensive compared to other options due to how it does things, so if that's important to you, maybe look elsewhere. Long version: I had an issue with one of the car battery terminals that bricked my car. (The bit crimped on to the wire sheared off the terminal somehow = battery was completely disconnected from the wire). I didn't want to pay to tow it since it seemed like a simple-ish fix, but also didn't want to do the work myself because Not My Thing. (Believe me). Enter the idea of mobile mechanics. I had a question about what action/category to select when setting up an appointment, so I called the contact/support number from the website. Got connected in a few seconds, spoke with someone, and they had me send a picture via email. I waited a bit, and then I called back. They then verified which thing I should select when setting up the appointment. Fast forward to the next day (doesn't seem like same-day was an option, but next-day was good enough for me), and I got an automated text a bit before the mechanic showed up, and then also when he arrived. When the mechanic came, we talked for a bit, and he did the thing. In chatting with him, I learned a bit more about how the platform works. Seems like mechanics in an area can use the app to pick up work, kind of like Uber drivers can take rides, I guess (?). Or something like that. So it scales. At any rate, he did the work, we took before/after pictures, made sure everything was good (turned on the car), and then that was that. After he submitted the work package thing on the platform's mechanic app and drove off, I got a phone call from the office people within like 2 minutes asking how things went and if I had any feedback/concerns. I was impressed with the automated systems for booking, updating you when the mechanic is about to arrive/has arrived, and submitting evidence of the completion of the work via the platform's mechanic app (e.g., the before/after photos show up on the automated receipt). I like that this is a well-designed platform, not just a one-man show sort of thing. It led to a very convenient user experience. It made my software-developer brain happy. The customer service was also good (like the call to confirm things went well, and them helping me with my initial question). I didn't get routed around phone menus or have to sit on hold. Only downside is the price. It seems to be fixed (rather than depending on what parts the mechanic actually buys/how long things actually take). So there was a parts charge and a labor charge, and those were fixed/static. Pros: you know how much it will cost upfront. That's pretty useful. Cons: for my particular situation, this was probably like $70 more expensive than it needed to be, because of the inflexibility of this setup. So you might end up overcharged for things. Google-fu told me the specific thing I was paying for was probably $10 for parts and 20 minutes of labor or so. I still paid more than $150 for it. (But hey, I didn't have to do it myself, so no chance of me messing it up. Which was sort of the whole point). Even so, I'd probably still use this service again. I just think this is probably not the cheapest option, if that is something important to you.

My car wouldn't start. The service manager, Gaurav, was very helpful promptly scheduling the needed service. The starter motor was replaced, and the car starts fine now. I am very satisfied with the prompt service provided at very reasonable cost.

I had to get expedited service on the 4th no less and even though the tire was not repairable, the wonderful service tech stayed for about 20 mins until I could meet him to access my spare which he installed for me. Such a kind and knowledgeable gentleman who really saved me today! Thank you all and highly recommend this company if you need mobile repairs.

Instant Car Fix handled my repair with so much care and professionalism. The mechanic arrived on time, looked over the issue slowly and carefully, and explained everything in a way I could understand. I appreciated that he didn’t rush and made sure the repair was done correctly. The convenience of having the service done in my driveway made the whole experience stress-free. When my car wouldn't start in my garage, I scheduled an appointment with Instant Car Fix to have my battery replaced. On the day of my appointment, Rashad called me to inform me that my vehicle has a non-serviceable battery and instructed me to have my vehicle serviced at the car dealership. When I told him I couldn't get the vehicle to the dealership because the battery was dead, he told me about a battery reset button in my vehicle that would provide an auxiliary charge to the battery that would enable me to start my car. It did, and I was able to drive my vehicle to the dealership for service! Rashad then assured me that the fee I paid for a battery replacement would be fully refunded. The staff at Instant Car Fix truly deserves all of the 5-Star reviews they've received - the service they provide is outstanding!

We had our car completely die on me on my way home from work. Bought a new battery thinking that was the issue. Turned out it was the alternator. Got a quote online and booked an appointment for the next day and to say I am amazed is an understatement. Our mechanic was absolutely amazing! Kevin was quick, but made sure he did everything correctly while being efficient. Kevin was very knowledgeable and obviously a master in his trade! I was very skeptical about trying this because I’ve never heard of anything like this but this whole thing saved me a lot of time, money and stress. I will definitely come back if I ever have anymore issues with my car. 10/10!

I absolutely loved them they came and took their time on my vehicle.. the mechanic even ran the code on my car twice just so he know it was fixed I didn’t have to worry about anything I bought my own parts and he was ready to work soon as he pulled up.. I felt comfortable( not to mention the comments from others on here was a little scary) but they was very understanding and ready to get the job DONE

I am so happy with the service from this company. Jacob Miller, the mechanic, was great. He was here early and got the job done quickly. I would highly recommend using Instant Car Fix for mechanic work.
